COMMON QUESTIONS

Everything you should know before using your shortlist

8 questions

No. This is an EduUnite admission planning tool designed to help you build a practical MBA shortlist using your CAT percentile, admission category and selected preferences. Final shortlisting and admission decisions are made by the respective institutes.

Planning noteTreat your result as a shortlist strategy, not a guaranteed interview call or admission offer.

The predictor compares your CAT percentile with the available reference percentile for each institute and places colleges into planning buckets. Colleges comfortably within your range may appear as Safe or Target, while higher-reference colleges can appear as Ambitious or Dream.

The tool uses available cutoff references for planning. Depending on the institute, a value may represent a published minimum requirement, an available category reference or a broader planning reference. It should not automatically be interpreted as the final percentile required for a call.

ImportantAlways review the latest admission criteria published by the institute before making an application decision.

Yes. Many IIMs and some other management institutes consider sectional CAT requirements in addition to the overall percentile. Meeting an overall reference alone may therefore not be sufficient.

Yes. Institutes may consider Class 10, Class 12, graduation performance, work experience, academic diversity, gender diversity and other profile factors as part of their shortlisting or final selection process.

Admission policies can change by year, and institutes may use profile-based criteria, sectional requirements, application scores, interviews and other selection factors. The predictor is intended to help you plan applications, not reproduce an institute's complete selection process.

Use the shortlist as a balanced application plan. Compare multiple Target options, keep practical backup colleges and add selected Ambitious or Dream institutes instead of relying on one category alone.

Use the shortlist to review each institute's current eligibility, application deadlines, fees, selection process and program fit. You can rerun the predictor with a different institute preference whenever you want to explore another strategy.
